![]() ![]() How you treat your customers is everything especially when your so loud about being a company that is “for the people”. At the end of the interaction when I reread the emails I realized they were being passive aggressive & dismissive. It took them over a month to refund me! I reached out to them several times & they just sent me the same message over & over. My third issue is their customer service online is incredibly poor! I purchased a pair of plain black pants & a button up for $202. Nope why is your button up made with artificial fabric from china $80 plus? There is no real way to justify that other then they know there is a gap in the market for gender affirming clothing and they are filling it by charging you insane prices. My second issue is that their clothing prices are wildly expensive! They are marketing to the queer community which often times consists of folks who make less money so you’d think they’d make their clothes more accessible to all kinds of people. If you look at the models who have curvy bodies on their Instagram & website you will see what I mean, the clothes are not even flattering on them. Which is fine except for the fact that they advertise as if they are for all body types. It’s made for skinny people who have no curves. Here is one of my issues, I am a curvy average sized person and their clothing is not made for me. I have been to the Portland store several times & bought online. I really wanted to love Wildfang I really did. i won’t be coming back here, my experiences at crossroads and buffalo were much better i almost ended up not buying anything and walking out because the interaction upset me so much. i get that they were probably just having a bad day, but it made me genuinely sad because i was just excited about my new pants. ![]() i was trying to stay positive and make some friendly conversation, and the person checking me out straight up just ignored what i said and refused to talk to me other than telling me my total. i was checking out with my two items, and the entire time the employee had such a negative demeanor and made me feel really nervous. i almost never leave bad reviews, but the experience i had at red light yesterday was horrible. ![]() i am a strong believer that the customer is NOT always right, and i understand that so many places are incredibly understaffed and service workers are exhausted. Okay so i’m gonna start this off by saying, that as a customer i do not feel any sort of entitlement to receive “excellent customer service”. Tl dr I think the rank-and-file staff are fine and I have a big eyebrow raise for the management direction. Having a cool alt 20-something roll their eyes at you or tell you to wear a mask or tell you to get out at close isn't going to kill you and is part of the fun. I'm just like, y'all, "scary cool girl" aesthetic is clearly a part of this store's brand. ![]() I disagree with the reviews concerned about rude staff, though. No way I'm going to buy clothes with no try-ons and no refunds-they'd have to be $1, not $10. The last straw for me is the strict "no try-ons" rule, at least on the $10 side (I don't remember about the other side). They split the store in half physically with one side being an (often unstaffed) $10 sale, and it seemed like clearance chaos / going out of business, but they are somehow still there, and I'm not sure what's going on now. Things have gotten a lot more expensive, policies have gotten more restrictive, and the vibe is. I used to love this place circa 2010, but it's gone downhill. Management, I would strongly recommend re-training your employees on appropriate customer service and staffing better to avoid your customers having to do your employees' jobs for them. I put the items I was planning on purchasing back, went to the person who had asked me for help, explained that the employee was unwilling to help, apologized, and did my best to help them instead. When it was my turn in line, I barely got out a "hi, sorry to bother you but someone in the changing rooms was asking for help-" before she interrupted me and said, "Okay, well I can't go over there right now," and waved the person behind me in line over to cut in front of me. Knowing that the line was long and how busy retail gets, I intended to ask the employee where one of their coworkers was rather than pull them away from the register. I agreed and did a loop around the store and was unable to find any workers, so I went to the register. While shopping, another customer in the changing rooms asked me if I could flag down an employee to help them with something. The clothes seem fun and good quality unfortunately, I did not purchase anything because of the incredibly rude interaction I had with the staff. ![]()
